The Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist is just down the street on Abercorn
An original oil replica of Ramon Casas's "Decadent Young Woman" hangs above the bed. I chose this to illustrate what it must have been like as a woman after a day of walking in Savannah. Those clothes are heavy, and the temps can get very warm in the summer.

Handpainted mural by local artist, Julia MacGahee, along with our coat-rack/lamppost and swing. Julia painted the entrance to Forsyth to keep with the name of the apartment, "A Walk in the Park."

Remember Forrest Gump and the initial scene with the feather floating through the air? That was here at St. John's Episcopal Church -- just a few blocks away!
1868 is the year our house was built, so I had this curtain made for the window in the bedroom door.
Some people are afraid to sit in the swing. "Will it fall?" they ask. "No!" We had the construction crew ensure it could hold up to 600 lbs! It is not going to fall out of the ceiling!

I had this lamppost made to keep with the park theme, and we also added some hooks to it for jackets/purses.

The kitchen has ample counter space, a gas stove, and all the amenities for cooking at home.
Savannah's carousel is nowhere near the historic district, but this little guy makes for a nice decoration! In the next year, it will be painted with Savannah landmarks all over it.
Forsyth Park is only one block from us!

The bathroom has a tub/shower combination with gold, upscale fixtures. We've also imported Dead Sea salt for soaking tired legs.
